Days 5,6,7, & 8 of Quitting Smoking

Good Morning Everyone!

I apologize for being late and not posting yesterday. I was slammed at work and then I also got a head cold again and got home and passed out all night. I am not sure what is going on but I have never been sick this much in a month period and it is starting to really frustrate me. I am not sure what else I can do I am working out 5-6 times a week,  I take all my vitamins daily, I am  eating healthy and balanced, I am drinking lots of water, and I am even taking an extra vitamin c in the morning to try and feel 100% again. So any advice at all I would really appreciate it!

Honestly I am not sure how I was feeling each day but I do know how many I smoked.
Day 5-11
Day 6-10
Day 7-12
Day 8- 7

So Day 6 which was Jax mans Birthday was easier because we had a lot going on and I spent a good part of my day around him.

Day 8 or yesterday it was so easy for me because I didn't feel well and slept all night.

This morning I am still not feeling very good so I have only smoked 1 time and I am thinking right now I might go home at lunch and sleep the rest of the day. Still my biggest issue is driving or not having much to do. Obviously when I am busy or around Jax Madi or Harper I don't smoke or want to smoke as much.

This week I am shooting for 10-11 a day and see how that goes but really right now more then anything I want to get over being off and on sick.

Thank you again for all the support and feedback it really does help!

  1. Patrick I just read a couple articles on why you're sick when you're doing such healthy things because I am kind of the same way right now. And I just copied the link and it all to you which has an article that is very interesting of 10 things that you can do that might help check it out.

    2. Also as you all know I am a huge supporter of the Netty pot and Deb told me that they have an easier way to do it with the same results now which does not involve a teeny little teapot ha ha. This morning before work I could not even breakthrough and had to hurry up and go to work but just now I finally broke through with the Netty pot and I'm starting to feel better. But often times it has proven that you have to be consistent with something like the Netty pot for it to work when you get sick

    2. Okay something I read about in quit smoking support.com… Obviously headaches are physical symptom of quitting smoking in the first few weeks and "cold symptoms as the lungs begin to clear (sore throat, coughing, and other signs of colds and respiratory problems)" So maybe this is part of what happens when you quit smoking? Everything else I have read indicates that this will pass in 6 to 8 weeks you should be totally free of these feelings after quitting

    4. I know! Seems like a long time! And it does seem hard and I know it will be difficult but that is why you're doing this blog and I would encourage you to go out other blogs about quitting smoking or websites like quit smoking support.com

  3. Good job man. It is certainly frustrating when you get sick and not any fun. I know it is easy for me to just want fast, easy food when I am sick. Keep up the good work.
